Pump Systems has been in business supplying equipment to the sanitary process market for over 50 years. The Company was incorporated in 1947 as General Pump and Compressor and became Pump Systems in 1972.
 Today Pump Systems serves the Sanitary Process Market as an Equipment Supplier, Systems Engineering & Design, Integrator & Packager, as well as an Engineering Contractor.
In January 2002 Pump Systems was acquired by McKenna Engineering & Equipment Co., Inc.
McKenna Engineering has been in business since 1978 as a privately held California Corporation. The Company is a distributor and representative for leading manufacturers of process equipment handling Air, Gas, and Liquids. McKenna Engineering provides application engineering, sales, and service to many industries in California. These include, but are not limited to, oil refining & production, power, municipal, computer & electronics, transportation, chemical, mining, agriculture, wine and beverage, pulp & paper, marine, and environmental.
Together Pump Systems and McKenna Engineering serve practically every industry in California.
The Companies are located in the same facilities and currently employ 40 people in two offices, Northern and Southern California. The main office and service center is in the City of Carson, California in the Los Angeles area.
